Back to about us

1995: From the beginning the company ethos was to work closely with clients to inspire trust through excellent paint products and service.  The initial focus was as a main distributor for JOTUN paints, with clients in the Offshore and Marine sector including BP, Shell, Q8, Ingersoll and Atlas Copco amongst many others.  Further markets opened up - coastal and inland architectural projects, steel structures, facades, bridges and many applications across the UK for an ever widening clientele - Local Authorities, Airports and Housing Associations etc.

2005: THAMES COATINGS started developing their own paint products, with the help of various expert chemists, to produce paints that would out-perform competitors' products in the market place.  Their goal was to offer high-adhesion paint solutions that would reduce application costs by speeding up processes, improve VOC emissions and provide longer life protection to lengthen or eliminate maintenance cycles.  Although the concept of Sustainability was emerging back then, nevertheless THAMES COATINGS were pioneering the cause and have been working closely with clients ever since to reduce their carbon footprints.  Their own products have been used on many projects, including Cannery Wharf, Google HQ, The Shard, Stansted, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, Olympic Stadium Signage, through to components for the Aerospace Industry.

2013: NORTHSTAR products are added to the range as a perfect fit with their product portfolio and opening the way into the Commercial Vehicle market with this robust, high performing, long established American paint system.

2017: The Thames Coatings partnership becomes Unova Limited partnering closely with MASTERFLO and LEANAIR; thus forming a multi-million pound trading entity offering a unique combination of technical excellence, unrivalled product knowledge and cutting edge innovative solutions covering every aspect of wet paint application.
